ROCK Ride For Cancer

Sarnia biking enthusiast Bob Thomas started the ROCK ride for cancer 11 years ago to raise money for Childhood Cancer Canada.

He lost his daughter Samantha to cancer three days before her third birthday.

Motorcyclists are asked to register on line at rockride.com or at 9:30am Saturday morning at Motorsport Harley Davidson on Confederation St. in Sarnia.

The event has raised over $340,000 over the past decade with money going to childhood cancer research and support programs for families dealing with the disease.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
