Support Growing For Wyoming Firefighter

Over 1,000 people have already signed a petition in support of a Wyoming volunteer firefighter charged with careless driving following a multi-vehicle pile up on the 402 during a blinding snow storm two years ago.

Chief Mike Vasey says the petition calls on the province to withdraw the charges.

Two fire vehicles involved in the crash were destroyed and Neil Bain, one of five volunteer firefighters injured, was the only person charged.

Petitions are still available at Home Hardware, and Europa's Bakery in Wyoming and at Country View Motel and RV Resort in Reeces Corners.

Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey will present the signatures when the Ontario Legislature resumes sitting in the fall.
