National French Fry Day

Today is National French Fry Day!

Eating fries under the Blue Water Bridge has been a local tradition for over 50 years.

BlackburnNews.com talked to fry lovers about what they love most about "bridge fries".

To this date, there's no consensus on how the history of the crispy golden strips got to be named "french fries".

However, among the various theories, it's generally accepted they were invented by either the Belgians or the French.
