Solar Farm Proposed In St. Clair Township

A public consultation meeting will be held Wednesday to discuss a local solar farm proposal by Alberta-based company, BluEarth Renewables Inc.

The meeting will introduce the project to the community and provide information on the company's plans.

Spokesman Tom Bird says the proposal is a 13MW non-rooftop solar project on Scott Rd. north of Lasalle Line in St.Clair Township.

BluEarth Renewables is submitting their proposal to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) for the generation of electricity under their Large Renewable Procurement. Successful projects will be awarded in December.

The meeting gets underway from 5:30-8:30pm at the Corunna Legion on Albert St.
