Applications For Legacy Scholarships

The Physician Recruitment Taskforce of Sarnia-Lambton is now accepting applications for its 10th annual Legacy Scholarships.

It's a joint initiative with the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce and Sarnia Community Foundation.

Board Chair Ron Prior says it's open to current or former residents of Lambton county that are enrolled in a recognized Canadian medical school and plan to train as a family medicine physician.

Prior says a total of $10,000 is available through the scholarships. The amount and number of awards will depend on the number of approved applications.

The scholarships have proven successful in the past with the recruitment of Dr. Justin Mall, Dr. Kate Brown, and Dr. Lesley Cannon.

Those wishing to apply can do so at 420 East St. N in Sarnia or online at www.doctors4sarnialambton.com until September 15.
