Asleep At The Wheel

Sarnia police arrested a man for impaired driving after responding to reports of a person slumped over the steering wheel in a vehicle in a parking lot.

A passerby called police around 11pm.

Fearing for the unresponsive man's wellbeing, police smashed a window to gain entry to the locked vehicle parked in the 300 block of Kathleen Ave.

After being released from hospital, the 38-year-old man was arrested and subsequent breath tests showed he was one and a half times over the legal limit.

He's also charged with four counts of violating bail conditions.
