Sarnia Teen Victim Of Homicide

A 17-year-old Sarnia male is charged with second degree murder following the city's first homicide of the year.

Sarnia police responded to a call about two males "in distress" at a home in the 100-block of Ontario St. on Friday morning.

Constable Les Jones says two men were taken to Bluewater Health where a 19-year-old Sarnia man later died of his injuries.

A 22-year-old man, also from Sarnia, was transferred to London hospital for treatment.

The name of the victim has not been released. A post mortem was scheduled Monday.

The 17-year-old accused, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, had a bail hearing via video Monday.
