It's the start of a larger bike lane project outlined in the city's Transportation Master Plan.
The plan currently includes two dedicated lanes for travel and a parking lane on the south side of the road.
City staff will be explaining the project and answering any questions at a public meeting tonight from 7-8:30pm at Grace United Church.
