Sign Defaced At Ipperwash Beach

Lambton OPP officers are investigating after a sign was vandalized at the Ipperwash Beach parking lot.

Police say a sign reading "River Aux Sable Territorial Lands, More to Come" was defaced with offensive graffiti in black marker.

Police say the sign was vandalized sometime between 12pm Saturday and 9:30am Sunday.

Police remind everyone that writing graffiti carries a charge of mischief. Mischief can carry a jail sentence upon conviction.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lambton OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
