First Time Riders Safety Session

The new school year is just over three weeks away, but already some kids will be riding the big yellow bus.

The Chatham-Kent Lambton Administrative School Services and local school bus operators are teaming up for First Time Rider Orientation Day for students from JK to Grade 1.

The safety program will teach the youngsters about school bus safety, rules and how to evacuate the bus in case of emergency.

CLASS General Manager Kent Orr says its beneficial for parents as well as students.

The sessions will be held from 10am until 12pm tomorrow (Saturday, August 15) at the Holiday Inn and in Chatham at Ursuline College.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
