Lambton Public Health Issues Heat Alert

A summer scorcher in Southern Ontario.

Sarnia-Lambton remains under heat warning issued by Environment Canada as temperatures are expected to hit up to 31C (88) with humidex values nearing 40C (104 F)

Lambton Public Health has also issued a Heat Alert.

Environmental Health Supervisor says heat related illness is preventable and limit your time outdoors.

Lucas says while extreme heat can put everyone at risk from heat illnesses, health risks are greatest for older adults, infants and young children and people with chronic illnesses.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
