Sarnia Election Office Opens

Paul Rennie is the local Returning Officer as the Elections Canada office at 595 Murphy Rd. is open and ready to serve.

Spokesperson Diane Benson says voters can come by to learn more about the local candidates, make sure they're on the voters list, change their address and even vote.

She says things have been a bit slow to start the long election campaign.

This year's election will also have added advanced polling days, during the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Benson says candidates do have until Sept 28 to officially register.

The office is open weekdays from 10-5, with hours expanding after Labour Day.
