Five Local Ambassadors At CNE Competition

Ninety-Three Ambassadors from across Ontario are competing in this year's 137th annual CNE Ambassador of the Fairs competition.

Of those 93, five local competitors will be representing Sarnia-Lambton.

Mia Van Bree of the Forest Fair in Warwick Township says it's been a busy year for her.

At the CNE competition, young ladies will be judged on her poise, personality, and overall impression as well as knowledge of 'The Ex' and agriculture.

Brigden Fair Ambassador Jory Fulcher, Petrolia Enniskillen Ambassador Janessa O'Hara, Carlie Douglas of Brooke-Alvinston, and Plympton Wyoming's Rebecca van Klaveren will also be at the CNE.

The event takes place in Toronto from August 21-23, with the winner crowned Sunday afternoon in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
