Early Morning Drug Raid

Sarnia police seized over $20,000 in methamphetamine and cocaine in an early morning drug raid.

A search warrant was executed at an apartment on Canterbury Crt. around 12:30am.

Officers discovered 155 g of methamphetamine valued at $18,600, 15 g of cocaine worth $1,500 and over $1,200 in cash.

Two Sarnia women, 28 and 45-years old were arrested and face possession and trafficking charges.

A 27-year-old man from Petrolia is also charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

All three are being held for a bail hearing.

Police say three children between one and 17 years old were at the apartment at the time.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
