UPDATE: Five Injured In Crash

Five people were taken to Bluewater Health for treatment of minor injuries after a two vehicle crash Friday morning.

Sarnia police say it happened just before 9am at Confederation St. near Murphy Rd.

An SUV travelling westbound on Confederation was making a left turn onto McGregor Side Rd. when it collided with an eastbound car, and flipped onto its roof.

The SUV driver, along with the four occupants of the car, including two boys aged 7-9-years-old, were treated and released from hospital.

The driver of the SUV, a 25-year-old woman, is charged with making an unsafe turn.

The roadway was closed for about 90 minutes while police conducted their investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
