Corunna Bursting with Pride

The Mayor of St. Clair Township hopes a special day will be arranged for Corunna's Derek Drouin, who won the high jump gold medal at the World Track and Field Championships in Beijing on Sunday. The 25-year old from Corunna cleared 2.34 metres in the high jump, becoming the first Canadian to win the event. Steve Arnold says the idea of planning a special day for Drouin will be brought up at next Tuesday's council meeting.
