Police Release Video Of Suspected Tool Thief

Sarnia Police are looking for help identifying a suspect.

At 6:50 last Thursday morning, a suspect was caught on surveillance video removing tools from a pickup truck in a parking lot in the 900 block of Murphy Rd.

Police allege he also obtained the truck owners home address from documentation in the vehicle, and later stole several more tools from his home garage in the 200 block of Elgin St.

Some of the items include an air compressor, circular saw, and tool belt, that the victim uses for his carpentry business.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sarnia Police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
