Man Charged In Newspaper Delivery Dispute

A 77-year-old Dawn-Euphemia man has been charged in a dispute over delivery of a newspaper.

The OPP received a call Wednesday morning about incidents of dangerous driving and criminal harassment at the intersection of Cairo Rd. and Haggerty Rd. in Dawn-Euphemia Township.

When police responded they discovered the accused and the victim involved in an ongoing dispute over the delivery of a newspaper to the residence of the accused.

On several occasions the accused allegedly followed the victim in his personal vehicle.

The man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and criminal harassment.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
