Art In The Park

The Rotary Club of Sarnia-Bluewaterland's sixth annual Art in the Park is on tomorrow (Saturday) at Mike Weir Park on Lakeshore Rd.

Spokesperson Dave Van Leeuwen says 90 different artists and vendors are coming from as far away as Ottawa for the event that runs from 9am to 4pm.

Admission is $2. Proceeds will go towards a new children's playground and an Alzheimers garden in a restored Centennial Park.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
