Sarnia Council Meets Today

Sarnia council will discuss controversial Cathcart bike lanes at its meeting Monday.

It's recommended councillors approve the first phase, which would see bike lanes installed from Colborne Rd. to Murphy Rd.

A petition, alongside public consultation concerns, generally show residents are not in favour of the bike lanes.

Sarnia may invest $219-thousand for accessibility upgrades to sidewalks, ramps, and bus stops throughout the city.

Councillors will discuss a proposed one-day Revelree Music Festival that could take place July 23rd of next summer.

Staff recommend council adopt guiding principles for an advertising program that could generate revenue through sponsorships across the city.

And Committee of Adjustment members with the city could receive annual lump sums of $440 each to reimburse them for mileage travelling to and from site inspections.
