Area Chicken Farmers Support Inn

The Inn of the Good Shepherd has received a substantial donation of fresh chicken from area farmers. Executive Director Myles Vanni says they received 300 birds in their first shipment, enough to last about three to four weeks.

Vanni credits a bill Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey initiated, that provides tax credit for farmers donating produce to food banks.

He says they've always had a good relationship with local chicken farmers.

Vanni says they're able to access fresh meat and high protein foods, something they don't see enough of.

He says he's looking forward to seeing how Bailey's tax credit bill will positively impact them during the holiday season.
