Funding Needed For Projects In St. Clair Twp

St. Clair Township will be applying to the province for funding for two separate projects and both have ties to the St. Clair River.

Mayor Steve Arnold says $3-million is needed to reroute a sanitary sewer line along Tom St. in Corunna. The small street runs west of Beresford St. next to the river.

It will cost about $1-million to rebuild part of the St. Clair Parkway that is slipping into the river near Seager Park.

It's hoped the province will provide a third of the cost through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
