Drunk Driver Arrested After Parked Vehicles Hit

A woman is charged with impaired driving after hitting two parked cars in the city and failing to remain at the scene.

Sarnia police were called to the area of Russell St. and Ross Ave. around 6:45pm Tuesday.

Witnesses at the scene were able to point out a suspect vehicle to an officer as it drove by.

It was determined the 46-year-old female driver was impaired and she was arrested.

Breath samples indicated she was over twice the legal limit.

The woman is also charged with failing to report a collision.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
