Charity Event Raises Thousands For Literacy

The annual Warden's Charity Picnic has raised over $20,000 in support of the Organization for Literacy in Lambton.

Those donating included Ontario Power Generation, Bluewater Power, Curran Contractors, and Judy McKibbon.

The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation alone raised $10,000.

General Manager Noelle Fisher says they are extremely excited and humbled to be the recipient.

A portion of the proceeds will be supporting a free tutoring program for children in Petrolia, the remainder will be supporting both children and adult programming.
