Near Capacity At Modeland Rd. Research Park

The Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park is at 97 per cent occupancy despite the departure of BioAmber from the Modeland Rd. site.

BioAmber vacated space after opening its full scale commercial plant in Sarnia. NOVA Chemicals is now occupying the space.

Park Executive Director Tom Strifler says there are a lot of activities happening at the park.

Strifler says they have a good partnership with Lambton College. The park is home to a water treatment lab, bioindustrial lab and research facilities

The park is also now home to a new fitness training centre, and the Sarnia police emergency backup call centre.

He says six companies have also signed lease renewals at the facility.
