Major Maintenance Shutdown At CF

The entire CF Industries complex on Bickford Line near Courtright will shutdown for the month of October for a maintenance turnaround. General Manager Rob Aultman says 600 contractors will be on site until month's end. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Aultman-1.mp3"][/audio] Aultman says the maintenance project helps keep the plant running safely and reliably. Earlier this year, the company announced it will spend $105-million to expand urea production for products like diesel exhaust fluid.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
