Brooke-Alvinston And Watford Fall Fair Marks 139 Years

The 139th annual Brooke Alvinston Watford Fall Fair is gearing up for a busy and exciting weekend.

The events officially kick off this Friday afternoon when the midway opens at 4:30pm.

Vice President of the Fair Pam Hills says they're excited for the first big event with the Pet Show at 7pm.

A tractor pull takes place at 7:30pm, followed by a pie auction at 8pm.

Friday tickets are $10 per person or can $18 for a three day gate pass.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
