First Ever Oktoberfest

Beer, sausage, music, and games begin tonight at the city's first ever Oktoberfest.

Organizer Chris Lewis says they'll have beer from Sarnia's Refined Fool, Beau's, and another brewery. You can also polka the night away

Lewis is part of the non-profit group Storyboard Cultural Community Endeavors. They're the organizers of The Beer Show and Festival of Good Things.

Doors open at 5pm this afternoon at the Bayside Centre. The event continues tomorrow beginning at 3pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
