The United Way Campaign Is Halfway There

This years United Way campaign has hit the 50 per cent mark.

Executive Director Dave Brown says four weeks into the campaign they have raised $975,000.

This years goal is $1.95-million.

Brown says its hoped the 8th annual Locally Lambton Dinner will push the campaign further ahead.

Tickets for the event Saturday October 24th are now available at the United Way office for $45 each or $85 for two.

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 22 member agencies which provide 35 programs and services to area residents.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
