Sarnia Area Housing Starts Steady

Sarnia housing starts for the month of September are right on pace with last year.

CMHC market analyst Anthony Passarelli says work started on 15 single family homes last month, compared to 14 last September.

He says heading into the winter months, numbers may begin to drop slightly.

Year to date totals are slightly lower. Passarelli says the first nine months of the year saw work start on 124 homes, compared to 134 homes in 2014.

The monthly statistics cover Sarnia, St. Clair Township and Point Edward.
