Brigden Fall Fair Kicks Off Today

The last and the biggest fall fair of the circuit begins today (Friday) in Brigden.

Moore Agricultural Society spokesperson Julie Maw says exhibit buildings open at 9am.

After a few years of declining entries, interest is being revived in baking, sewing and quilt-making competitions.

Because of public elementary teachers work-to-rule, 800 students who traditionally attend the popular Agriculture in the Classroom will not attend the fair today, but the program will continue and parents are encouraged to bring their kids if they so choose.

The South Western Ontario Truck and Tractor pull begins at 7pm.

The Fair continues all weekend long with the big parade set for noon Saturday.
