St.Clair River Simulation Planned

The U.S. Coast Guard and Enbridge will stage a full-scale oil spill exercise on the St. Clair River next year.

Port Security Specialist Rick Loster says it will likely be held May 25 and involve emergency responders from both sides of the border.

He says involving crews from two countries hasn't posed problems in the past.

The exercise will simulate a puncture in Enbridge's Line 5 which travels under the St. Clair River and will likely be held in the Marysville, Michigan area.
