Winter Weather Causes Damage At Museum

Chain saws have been humming at Lambton Heritage Museum in north Lambton.

Museum Curator Laurie Webb says heavy wet off-lake flurries caused significant tree loss over the weekend.

The weather forced cancellation of the Lambton Fall Colour and Craft Festival at the Museum.

Webb says their bottom line will be affected because it's their major fundraiser of the year.

There was poor visibility at times and slippery road conditions in north and east Lambton Saturday and into Sunday.

The eastbound 402 near Scotchmere Dr. was impacted until mid morning Sunday due to a jack-knifed tractor trailer.

Hydro One crews were busy restoring power in parts of north Lambton including the Grand Bend area.
