Students Protest Work To Rule Actions

About 60 students protested outside Sarnia Collegiate Institute & Technical School Thursday morning on the lack of cleanliness in their school.

School staff, including custodians, educational assistants and secretaries to name a few, have been working-to-rule.

Director of Education Jim Costello says it's a very difficult time for the school, but their first concern is for safety.

Costello adds in some cases, they've had principals sweeping the floors and staff from the board office helping out with supervision in schools.

He hopes a deal will be made on the provincial level when talks resume next week to allow staff back to work.
