High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Three of Sarnia-Lambton's libraries could soon be under review to help improve community services.
 
It's recommended Sarnia council approve $30,000 at its meeting Monday for a consultant's review to provide information on user statistics and the physical needs of the community.
 
The cost would be split evenly between the city and the County of Lambton.
Mayor Mike Bradley says there are currently space restrictions at Lambton Mall Rd. Library.

Council is also being asked to provide an additional $25,000 to install a centralized accessible washroom at Sarnia Library. 
 
Council had already allocated $77,000, including a federal grant of $32,000.
