Sarnia Man Charged With Sex Offences

City police say a Sarnia man has been charged with sex-related offences that allegedly occurred between March 2013 and March 2015.

28-year-old Jared Denis Fedora was arrested October 14 and charged with invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference, corrupting a child, and sexual assault.

Police say he was released from Sarnia court on a Recognizance of Bail October 19 and is required to abide by set conditions including:

• Not to have contact directly or indirectly with the victim.

• Remain in his residence 24 hours per day

• Not to be in the company of or communicate, directly or indirectly, by any physical, electronic or other means with females under the age of 16 years, unless in the presence of a surety.

• Not to attend a public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 16 years are present or can reasonably be expected to be present, or a daycare centre, school ground, playground or community centre.

• Not seek, obtain or continue with any paid or unpaid activity that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards persons under the age of 16 years.

• Not to possess any weapons as defined by the Criminal Code.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
