Robbery Suspect Identified

A 32-year-old Sarnia man is facing several charges after a short crime spree Thursday afternoon.

City police investigated a robbery at a variety store in the 100-block of North Russell St. around 1pm.

The clerk told police the suspect claimed to have a knife and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Shortly after, officers responded to a break and enter at a home on Kathleen Ave. where a television was taken.

Police arrested a man leaving a home in the area around 2pm. Officers recovered the money from the robbery and the TV during the execution of a search warrant at that same home.
