Cedar Point Project Near Completion

Suncor Energy says all 46 turbines have been erected at the company's long awaited Cedar Point wind project in Lambton Shores, Warwick Twp., and Plympton-Wyoming.

The project is a long time coming and has been subject to protests and appeals in recent years.

Company spokesman Jason Vaillant says the turbines aren't operational yet and they're still in the commissioning process.

He says they have an ongoing dialogue with the community to make sure the project is meeting all expectations.

Vaillant isn't concerned about the prospect of turbines losing their censors like some of NextEra's.

He's confident the project adheres to all safety regulations.

A price for the project has not been disclosed.
