Council Pushes To Meet With Transportation Minister

Lambton County Council refuses to take no for an answer.

During a discussion in Wyoming Wednesday, councillors were told the Minister of Transportation has refused their request to visit the area to see firsthand safety concerns on the 402 and 40 highways.

A motion, raised by Councillor Todd Case, passed, asking Premier Kathleen Wynne to direct minister Steven Del Duca to meet with a county delegation.

Councillor Mike Bradley suggested each member of council electronically sign the letter to underscore its importance.

Councillor Case says they don't want to fight, but rather, hope for the opportunity to discuss issues and open doors to establish a relationshp with the provincial government.
