College Announces Layout Plans

Lambton College has announced its new fitness and health centres will be built under the same roof.

During a delegation to Lambton County Council Wednesday, Lambton College President Judith Morris said construction of the 100,000 sq ft project is expected to start next September with a move-in date of summer 2018.

The health and research centre comprises of 60,000 sq ft within the building, with the athletics and fitness complex making up the other 40,000 sq ft.

The first floor of the building includes the new gym, massage room, classrooms, and research centre. On the second floor there will be nursing labs, pharmacy, paramedic simulation spaces and multipurpose rooms.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
