Lets Talk Food

The community is being asked to help improve Lambton County's food system.

A recent study found that several high-distress neighbourhoods do not have easy access to healthy food, a third of the population is overweight and the cost of buying healthy food is constantly rising.

Public Health Nutritionist Lana Smith says a number of topics will be discussed during a series of community roundtables this month, including distribution, access and food skills.

The first round table will be held Tuesday, November 10 from 10am until noon at the Clearwater Arena.

Subsequent meetings will be held November 17 in Wyoming and November 19 in Thedford.

All participants must register by Friday November 6 online at www.LetsTalkFoodLambton.ca or call Lambton Public Health.
