Bluewater Power Warns Of Scam

Bluewater Power is advising its customers of a scam making the rounds locally.

There are reports of individuals claiming to be with the utility notifying customers after hours, that payment is needed immediately or their power will be shut off.

President and CEO Janice McMichael-Dennis says this a problem right across Ontario.

McMichael-Dennis says if you are notified after hours via telephone or by a door to door salesperson contact Bluewater Power.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
