Site Selected For Hometown Hockey

A two day festival in downtown Sarnia is scheduled for next month.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour will take over Front and George Streets December 19 and 20.

City Recreation Co-ordinator Ryan Chamney says it's great exposure for Sarnia.

Chamney says there will be live music and interactive activities both days including an autograph area featuring local hockey alumni.

The filmed segment with Hometown Hockey host Ron MacLean will air during the Red Wings/Flames game in Detroit, December 20.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
