Battle Of The Border This Weekend

The Lambton Jr. Sting is one of 12 teams participating in this weekend's Battle of the Border minor midget hockey showcase in Sarnia.

The event features teams from across Ontario, Detroit, and Illinois with players available for the 2016 OHL Draft.

Several Sting players have played with these teams including Jeff King with the Lambton Jr. Sting, Aidan Hughes with the London Jr. Knights, Sasha Chmelevski and Josh Jacobs with Detroit Honeybaked, and Jakob Chychrun with Detroit Little Caesars.

Action gets underway at 4pm Friday at the SSEC, with 18 games planned throughout the weekend.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
