Lambton College Offers New Program

Starting next fall, Lambton College is offering a new program to help fill gaps in the workplace.

The Environmental Technician - Water and Wastewater Systems Operations program is a two year diploma course which includes a 12-month co-op.

Dean Bryan Aitken says there's a need for professionals in the field both locally and across Ontario.

Aitken says the program will be done in collaboration with Northern College in Timmins.

Students will be able to use water testing equipment at Lambton College and the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park.

Those interested are invited to attend an open house at the college on Saturday, November 14 from 10am until 2pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
