Christmas Hamper Campaign Kicks Off

The 34th annual Operation Christmas Tree officially kicked off in Corunna Thursday with a poor boy luncheon.

President Lorne Powell says they were expecting to raise about $1,000 for Christmas hampers to help families in need.

He says each year, about 130 families receive hampers containing non-perishable food items, and toys if the family has children.
