McCabe Wins Second Term By Acclamation

Lambton County farmer Don McCabe has been acclaimed to a second term as president of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.

He says it's a busy time for the Federation, dealing with majority governments in Toronto and Ottawa.

McCabe believes the fact the two governments were elected with mostly urban votes presents an opportunity for agriculture.

McCabe's return as OFA president came at the organization's annual general meeting in Toronto this week.

The Federation is the largest general farm organization in the province with about 37,000 members.
