Fire Alarm Prompts Mall Evacuation

Shoppers have been allowed back into Lambton Mall in Sarnia after a fire alarm was pulled Sunday afternoon.

The Sarnia Fire Rescue Service says firefighters responded to the London Rd. mall after the alarm was called in around 3pm. However, after attending the shopping centre, it was determined that no fire had occurred and it was a false alarm

Fire officials say the building was evacuated by mall security as a safety precaution.

Sarnia police say they are not investigating the incident.

The mall has since been cleared by the fire department and shoppers are allowed back into the building.
