Sarnia police remind motorists to drive carefully at this time of year even if there's no snow on the ground. Constable Les Jones says the driver of a pick up truck hit the cement side barrier of the southbound Donahue Bridge on Vidal St. Monday morning. He says it's the time of year when cool air flowing beneath overpasses causes surface icing. "No damage to the bridge, it's wide open to traffic. City Works came by and laid down some salt while the officers were investigating." No injuries were reported and no charges have been laid against the 34-year-old driver.
