Suspect Sought In Attempted Vehicle Theft

Sarnia police have released video of a suspect in an attempted vehicle theft. Police say the man wandered through a hotel on Christina St. around 10am Tuesday, November 17 and removed a set of car keys from an office. The video shows the suspect entering a blue Dodge Journey and attempting to drive away before being confronted by the owner of the vehicle. The male suspect, believed to be 20 to 25 years old, fled on foot southbound on Christina St. still in possession of the keys. He's described as clean shaven, with light brown or dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, a dark blue or black button up shirt, a dark winter jacket and baggy jeans. The suspect was also carrying a backpack with a distinctive crosshatch pattern. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarnia police or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
